Computers & software continue to evolve our planet and ones ability to manage, design & create software + systems is an increasingly essential, valuable skill.
We'd like to contribute to the learning and growth of individuals interested in this area, assist in building the skills & systems one can draw upon for a lifetime.
We trend towards building for the web as the web is open, permissionless and accessible to the largest group of people on the planet. Unlike development on iOS or Windows or a service API, with the web, we can generally expect freedom from gatekeepers, platform changers, fee takers.
We are also highly interested in combining the web with emerging technologies like blockchain, crypto-assets, specifically Ethereum as it's currently the best platform for development, WebVR, A-Frame for immersive web 3D spaces and WebSockets + WebRTC.
We are a remote, global organization, currently using Slack as our main mode of interaction and collaboration. We utilize tools like Notion, Figma, Repl, Google Drive, Email, etc as supporting services.
In regards to our internship, the spectrum of participation varies however the goal is consistent engagement, minimum 1-3 hours per day, ~any 4 days per week, approximately 1 to 3 months or flexible to your time frame.
Those who have been fully engaged report a positive, rewarding experience, tons of real world learning plus the fun of being part of a community.
We aspire to be a collective (or DAO) in which, contributors are rewarded as part of our earnings, distributed directly into ones (blockchain) wallet daily. We've been experimenting with our own token, however yet to fully distribute, the holder of which would be entitled to future earnings. It's not clear how far we are from earnings however, we move a step closer each day.
